This quick and easy Preschool Valentine’s Day Craft is made from simple materials and a loved one’s photo. Materials You Will Need
5 x 7 photo of a loved one
One sheet of construction paper
One sheet of tissue paper
School glue
Scissors
Pencil
How to Make It
Step 1:
Fold the sheet of construction paper in half to make the card.
Step 2:
Cut a heart shape from the photograph and glue it to the front of the card.
Step 3:
Pour some glue onto a paper plate or piece of paper. Tear bits of tissue paper (about 2x2”) and wad them up into tight little balls. Glue the wads of tissue paper around the heart shaped photo. Allow to dry.
Step 4:
Draw and cut letters of your preschooler’s loved one’s name and glue them to the card. If the name is too long to fit onto the card, simply write the name on the card with a magic marker or glitter paint.
Step 5:
Allow to dry and then let your preschooler draw or write a special Valentine’s Day message inside the card. Give the card to that special loved one and watch him/her smile!
Helpful Hint
Since most preschoolers have a short attention span, it’s a good idea to pre-cut the letters for the loved one’s name before having your preschooler sit down to help.
