Preschoolers are full of love, and this Valentine’s Day Paper Mobile allows them to create and display a work of their affection. Using a photo of your preschooler and his/her loved one and some inexpensive crafts materials, you and your preschooler can make this lovingly unique Preschool Valentine’s Day craft.
Materials You Will Need
Photo of your preschooler and his/her loved one
One sheet of yellow construction paper
One sheet of green construction paper
One sheet of orange construction paper
Yarn
Magic marker
Scissors
Hole punch
Two yellow pipecleaners
How to Make It
Step 1:
On the yellow construction paper, write “Who Do I Love?” with the magic marker and cut out.
Step 2:
On the orange construction paper, draw and cut out three heart shapes. Label one “Me”, and another with the loved one’s name. On the third one, draw a smiley face.
Step 3:
On the green construction paper, write “I Love You” and cut out.
Step 4:
With the hole punch, make the following holes:
- On the yellow “Who Do I Love?” sign, make one hole in the top center and three holes along the bottom.
- On the orange heart with the smiley face, make a hole at the top and one on the bottom.
- On the two labeled hearts, make a hole on the top of each.
- On the photo, make one hole on top and on the bottom.
Step 5:
Attach one pipecleaner to the bottom of the smiley face and, combining it with the other pipe cleaner, wind them together in the shape of a stick figure. Bend the hands up so that they can hold the green “I Love You” sign.
Step 6:
With the yarn, create a loop for the top hole on the yellow “Who Do I Love?” sign. Then tie the photograph and two labeled hearts to the yellow sign. Finally, attach the pipecleaner figure to the photograph. Hang up your Valentine’s Day Paper Mobile where everyone can see!
