This very simple Preschool St. Patrick’s Day Craft gives the illusion of a real holiday hat! Made from just a few materials, the St. Patrick’s Day Preschool Hat is really just a headband and can be adjusted to fit any preschooler.

Black construction paper
Green construction paper
Green ribbon
Glue
Scissors
How to Make It
Step 1:
Cut the shape of a hat from the black construction paper. Cut two or three long strips of black construction paper to make the band to go around your preschooler’s head.
Step 2:
Cut the shamrock from the green construction paper using the pattern below. Glue to the center of the St. Patrick’s Day hat.
Step 3:
Cut the green ribbon to fit the hat and glue just above the St. Patrick’s Day hat band.
Step 4:
Tape or glue the long black strips of paper onto the hat and together to fit your preschooler’s head. Bend the sides of the hat band forward a little to give the illusion of a real St. Patrick’s Day hat!
