Fall Foliage Polymer Clay Centerpiece

This polymer clay preschool holiday craft project is simple and inexpensive, using any large metal candleholder and nature's foliage as a mold. Your preschooler will love picking out some beautiful fall leaves right from your own back yard and using them to create this simple yet elegant fall foliage polymer clay centerpiece.
Materials You Will Need
Orange polymer clay 4 oz.
Yellow polymer clay 4 oz.
Red polymer clay 4 oz.
Large metal candleholder
Fall leaves from outside
Plastic knife
Rolling pin
Waxed paper
How to Make It
Step 1:
Pick out some nicely shaped fall leaves from your yard.
Step 2:
Place each color of polymer clay between two sheets of waxed paper and roll out to about 1/4" thickness.
Step 3:
Press the fall leaves into the clay, using the leaves as a mold. Remove the leaves and discard.
Step 4:
Cut out the shapes of the molded leaves from the polymer clay.
Step 5:
Place the metal candle holder in the center of a baking sheet. Arrange the polymer clay fall leaves around the candle holder, gently pressing the leaves to each other.
Step 6:
Bake the whole arrangement at low temperatures, according to manufacturer's instructions, for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool before placing on your Thanksgiving table.
