Reindeer Peanut Shell Ornament

The Reindeer Peanut Shell Ornament craft is easy for preschoolers to make and is an adorable Christmas tree ornament. Use tiny pompoms to make the eyes and nose, but magic markers will work just as well. Important note: Preschoolers with peanut allergies should avoid contact with peanuts and should not make this preschool Christmas craft.

Materials You Will Need

Whole peanut shell
2 tiny black pompoms or beads
1 small red pompom or bead
Brown construction paper
Red yarn
Scissors
Glue

How to Make It

Step 1:

Glue the tiny black pompons or beads onto the upper half of the peanut shell to make eyes for your reindeer ornament.

Step 2:

Glue the small red pompom or bead onto the lower half of the peanut shell to make a shiny red nose for your reindeer ornament.

Step 3:

Cut two small antlers from the brown construction paper. Glue onto the upper half of the peanut shell.

Step 4:

Cut a 3-inch piece of red yarn and form it into a loop. Glue the loop at the top of your reindeer ornament to hang on the Christmas tree once the glue dries.
