Family Photo Christmas Stocking Craft

Your preschooler may have a Christmas stocking of his/her own, but this fun family craft provides the entire family with one shared stocking! Make or purchase a large felt Christmas stocking and decorate it with glittery fabric paint, shiny embellishments and your family’s portrait.

Materials You Will Need

Large felt stocking
Family portrait
Tacky glue
Sequins, ribbons, buttons, etc.
Gold glitter fabric paint

How to Make It

Step 1:

Glue your family portrait to the center of the felt stocking.

Step 2:

Glue ribbons or sequins around the portrait to frame it.

Step 3:

Decorate the Christmas stocking by glueing sequins, ribbons, buttons, miniatures and any other pretty holiday decorations you’d like to add. Allow to dry.

Step 4:

With the gold glitter fabric paint, write “The [Your Family Name]s” on the top white part of the stocking. Allow to dry.

Hang the Family Photo Christmas Stocking and other Christmas stocking crafts on the wall or near the fireplace. On Christmas Eve, be sure that “Santa” fills the stocking with family favorites such as card games, candy, gift certificates for pizza and perhaps a favorite movie.
