Easy Snowman Candle Ring Craft

This simple preschool Christmas craft uses marshmallows to create miniature snowmen! Stand the miniature marshmallow snowmen in a circle around a styrofoam ring. And there you have an adorable snowman candle ring that your preschooler will love making and you will enjoy displaying for Christmas!

Materials You Will NeedDifficulty Level 1 out of 5

Styrofoam ring (3 ½")
Large marshmallows
Toothpicks
Black magic marker
Red ribbon
Cardboard
Glue
Scissors

How to Make It

Step 1:

Cut a 3 ½" circle from the cardboard.

Step 2:

Glue the cardboard circle onto the bottom of the styrofoam ring.

Step 3:

Stick a toothpick into the center of two marshmallows, creating a miniature snowman. Stick the snowman into the styrofoam ring. Repeat until the styrofoam ring has several evenly spaced snowmen on it.

Step 4:

Draw eyes, nose and mouth on the snowmen with the black magic marker.

Step 5:

Cut the red ribbon into 3" strips. Wrap them around the miniature marshmallow snowmen as scarves. Secure with a drop of glue.

Allow any glue on the Easy Snowman Candle Ring Craft to dry before placing a large Christmas candle in the center.

Additional Ideas for this Snowman Craft

Use small bits of fabric or felt to make miniature hats for the snowman. Your preschooler can also search the yard for tiny twigs to use as miniature arms.
