Bumpus Hounds Floppy Ears – A Christmas Story Craft

Remember those naughty Bumpus Hounds from the holiday movie, A Christmas Story, the ones that stole the family’s Christmas turkey? Well, now your preschooler can emulate them with this quick and easy Bumpus Hounds Floppy Ears craft. Oh, of course your preschooler won’t be stealing any turkeys, but s/he’ll certainly enjoying pretending to be a cute and silly puppy dog!

Materials You Will Need

Brown felt square
Red ribbon
Headband
Scissors
Tacky glue
Magic marker

How to Make It

Step 1:

With the magic marker, draw two large puppy dog ears on the brown felt square.

Step 2:

Help your preschooler cut out the puppy dog ears from the brown felt square.

Step 3:

Glue the puppy dog ears to the sides of the headband.

Step 4:

Tie a large bow from the red ribbon and glue to the top of the headband.
