Sheet of brown construction paperNewspaper grocery ads
Tape
School glue
Scissors
Hot glue
Pencil
Cereal bowl
Craft magnet
How to Make It
Step 1:Trace a circle onto the brown construction paper with the cereal bowl. Draw a straight line from the edge to the center (radius) of the bowl. Cut on the line.
Step 2:
Form the circle into a cone. Tape the seam together.
Step 3:
Go through your newspaper grocery ads and cut out pictures of produce: fruits and vegetables.
Step 4:
Glue the newspaper fruit and vegetable cut-outs to the inside of the cornucopia so that it looks like the food is spilling out. Allow the glue to dry.
Step 5:
Have an adult apply a drop of hot glue to the magnet (or use adhesive-backed craft magnets). Place the magnet on the back of the cornucopia (the taped seam).
Hang the Thanksgiving Cornucopia Magnet to the refrigerator to hold a recipe, grocery list or your preschooler’s beautiful Thanksgiving drawings!
