Easy Thanksgiving Placemats Craft

Let your preschooler help out this Thanksgiving by setting the table with his/her very own handmade Thanksgiving placemats! Imagine your preschooler’s pride at seeing this Easy Thanksgiving Placemats Craft being put to good use on this special family holiday!

Materials You Will Need

Fabric placemats
Autumn leaf cookie cutters
Fabric paint (fall colors)
Paintbrush
Paper plates

How to Make It

Step 1:

Wash and dry the fabric placemats. Iron flat.

Step 2:

Pour a little bit of various colors (red, orange, yellow, gold) of fabric paint onto paper plates.

Step 3:

Have your preschooler dip the autumn leaf cookie cutters into the fabric paint and then press onto the placemats in a random pattern.

Step 4:

Have your preschooler fill in the autumn leaf shapes with the paintbrush and fabric paint. Allow to dry.

Additional Thanksgiving Placemat Embellishments

Before the fabric paint dries, sprinkle gold glitter onto the leaf shapes for more sparkly Thanksgiving placemats.

Use sponge letters to write “Happy Thanksgiving” in fabric paint on each placemat.
