Preschool Summer Memory Box

This summer vacation, help your preschooler create a way to protect those precious summer memories. The Preschool Summer Memory Box is easy and fun to make and provides a great way to keep those lasting memories of sunny days, splashing in the pool, traveling out of town, visiting the fun park, and everything else your preschooler and family do this summer!

Materials You Will Need

Shoebox
Newspaper ads and magazines
Scissors
Glue
Construction paper (or pre-cut scrapbooking letters)

How to Make It

Step 1:

Have your preschooler help you go through newspaper ads and magazines, cutting out summer pictures such as umbrellas, swimming pools, beach towels, beach balls, etc.

Step 2:

Glue the pictures all over the shoebox lid, creating a collage of summer images.

Step 3:

Cut out the letters S-U-M-M-E-R M-E-M-O-R-I-E-S from construction paper (or use pre-cut scrapbooking letters). Glue the letters in place on the box.

Step 4:

Allow to dry and then begin filling up the Preschool Summer Memory Box with photos, souvenirs, ticket stubs, ribbons, pamphlets of places traveled, and anything else from your wonderful summer vacation!
