Easy Autumn Candle Centerpiece

Your preschooler will delight with pride when you display this simple but beautiful autumn centerpiece. Using an inexpensive picture frame and construction paper, the Easy Autumn Candle Centerpiece is a preschool autumn craft your preschooler will enjoy making and seeing displayed on the dinner table or any table in the house!

Materials You Will Need

Yellow construction paper
Orange construction paper
Red construction paper
Tea light candles
Glue
Scissors
Inexpensive picture frame (with glass)
Free Autumn Leaves printable template (pdf)

How to Make It

Step 1:

Print out the free autumn leaves printable template (pdf) or use cookie cutters to trace onto the red and orange construction paper. Cut out the leaves shapes.

Step 2:

Take the cardboard backing out of the picture frame. Have your preschooler trace the cardboard backing onto a sheet of yellow construction paper (to fit the picture frame). Cut out.

Step 3:

Glue the autumn leaves shapes onto the yellow cut-out construction paper. Allow to dry.

Step 4:

Remove the factory-inserted photo from the picture frame and replace with your fall leaves design.

Step 5:

Place the Easy Autumn Candle Centerpiece on the dinner table. Place a few tea light candles around on the centerpiece picture frame. Enjoy!

Alternative Suggestion

As your neighborhood trees transform into golden fall colors, grab your preschooler and head out to collect a handful of red, brown, gold and orange fall leaves. Use the real autumn leaves in place of the construction paper cut-outs.
